Partner wanted backpacking Hells Cyn, Olympics, or Pasayten

Post by bbeadle » June 8th, 2015, 9:49 pm

Hello,
I'm a teacher and want to celebrate the end of the school year with a backpacking trip AND HOPING TO FIND a companion for the trip. I'm looking I'm thinking perhaps Hells Canyon, the Olympic high country (if free enough of snow), or a loop in the Pasayten Wilderness. I'm open to other destinations, but prefer a destination that's quiet and wild. Ideal trip length is 4 to 6 nights, 8 to 15 miles per day. Looking to start between the 16th and 18th.
I'm a male in my 30s with a respectable amount of backpacking experience and relatively easy going attitude.

If you want a place that's remote with solitude, Hells Canyon National Recreation Area and Hells Canyon Wilderness contained within it is a great place. The time you are planning to go may be too hot down at river level and midway up the canyon, but the rim should be OK. I listed a couple links to my TRs. I'll be posting a new one in a couple of days for a trip there last weekend.

Thanks, does that mean you want to talk about an Olympics trip Jerry? I used a post of yours for a Sisters loop four or so years ago - it was pretty helpful. Thanks for the links as well. Might be too hot, that's why I'm keeping my options opened.
