Hello, I dont know if I've introduced myself on this forum yet. I am a 28 year old guy living in downtown Portland who loves to hike and experience the Pacific NW outdoors. I hope they open Larch Mountain road soon. I am planning on going up Silver Star this weekend if its clear.

Well we got a real clear view of Silver Star from Angel's Rest yesterday on our work party. It looks like the summit is completely devoid of snow
but there looks to be quite a bit on the trail still from about 3100 feet up. if you're coming from the north (the Yacolt side) then my guess is that all the snow in the exposed areas is pretty much gone. If you're coming from the south (Washougal side) then there will be still plenty of snow a mile or so up from the trail head.
I think in either case you'll be clear up to the trailshead
