First time poster here!

Post by PYThikes » May 6th, 2023, 2:25 pm

Hi all, looking forward to taking advantage of this good resource.

A bit about me:
  • Late 40's, currently living in SE Idaho, originally from Virginia
  • Have over 2,500 miles of backpacking experience
  • Thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2019
  • Visiting Oregon for the first time this fall!
I'll mostly be asking about the Timberline Trail, as that's on my list for this year.

Feel free to ask any questions or introduce yourself!

Dave / P.Y.T.

welcome

fall is a great time to do Timberline Trail around Mt Hood. Recent years have been smoky so have a back-up plan, for example, trail around Three Sisters. The Wallowas are great and closer to you.

Welcome! I'm an east coast native too, albeit from a little farther north. Nice to have you on the board :)
