New to the group

Hello Hikers,
I am a 64 YO woman, looking for hiking buddies. I moved to Portland in 2019, to be close to my adult daughter. Since then I've become a grandma. I like to hike and I am also an avid flatwater kayaker. I lived in Anchorage AK for 37 years, and did a fair amount of day hiking, and a couple of backpacking trips. I also spent part of the winter for 10 years in the Coachella Valley CA, and enjoyed hiking around there. I like to do hikes with some elevation gain, I like to bring my small dog most of the time, and at the moment, I think 6 miles might be my limit, although I hope to work up to more. I'm retired, and my BF works, so weekday hikes are good, some weekends also.
