info for FOUND gear

Post by guamsean » June 30th, 2020, 11:43 pm

hello-

my buddy and i found some gear ( i won't describe, watching out for opportunists....) on trail, salmon river trail then hard left and uphill to lake (Kinzell?) and/or fire lookout. gear was in brush just off trail, about 1/4 mile below cutoff to lake.

i posted on lost and found, reached out to moderator, etc. any other tips to links/forums would be appreciated. i'm sure the person who lost this would like it back. any response appreciated. thanks

Depending on what it was, "in brush just off trail" often means it was stashed there to lighten the load for a short jaunt, and someone expected it to be there on return. :?:

I've stashed stuff to lighten load and then forgot where I put it

But I eventually found it

thanks for info. this wasn't stashed to be picked up later... it's small and light, nothing like a daypack, add'l water, cast iron skillet... i'll just come out and say it- take chances with opportunists- it's small, light, and rhymes with 'carp'.
