Hello

Post by Leish » September 22nd, 2016, 11:48 pm

Hi all!
I'm actually not from Oregon, I'm from Sacramento, and I'm a newbie. I'm open to partnering up but I guess it's pointless to bring it up here since I would prefer someone I know. How I got into hiking? Well, I read about hiking in Dominica and it sounded like fun. The hiking part I mean ;)
I'm going to read some more, then find some way to get more experience. Well, to get at least some experience. That sounds better.

welcome

"find some way to get more experience"

just get out there and walk, maybe start with trip reports that look interesting or the "must see hikes" in the field guide

Welcome here, just get out there, with or without good shoes.

Start with simple easy hikes, and gradually increase difficulty if you please..
Keep hiking!

Lazy owl, it's time for you to get out of that lazy chair (or must I say off that lazy branch, since you're an owl?). Get to hiking and report back to us!
Keep hiking!
