Rush Creek Falls - Bushwhack

Post by sshega » July 12th, 2016, 1:32 pm

Has anyone here done a bushwhack hike to Rush Creek Falls? Ideally along Curly Creek Road?
If so, I'd like to chat with you about your experience. I work for a television program that is considering doing this bushwhack, and need some intel!

You can respond here, or send me a private message.

Thanks,

- Steven

Steven,

I have seen some video of Rush Creek Falls, amazing stuff.

Have you visited Waterfallsnorthwest.com ? http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/nws/ ... p?num=5112 He has a brief description, and makes it sound as though it is a major undertaking.

Hey Kelly, this looks like it would be a fun adventure. Let's check it out. I'll e-mail Jamito and see if he's interested in a little abuse. Doesn't look like it would be any more difficult than what we do most of the time anyway - but with a lot more bang for the buck.

I did this bushwhack back in 2009. Its pretty straight forward, we started from Meadow Creek road though but had a difficult time following the abandoned logging paths as they werent shown on my map. The brush was intense in places. I recall descending to the base of the falls pretty steep we used a rope to aid getting in and out, nothing technical though.
