I don't remember ever hiking that, but it has been a long time since I explored that area. Here's my recollection of the footpath network on the High Rocks / Low Rocks area on Road 35a (with the rocks actually showing up on the topo as open areas). The cabin locations are off, since the road ends on very flat ground (next to the last cabin). The "tripod trail" heads off from near the crest at High Rocks:
I haven't hiked this little area since my family sold the old cabin in about 1989 or 90. Lots of good memories of rambling around the area - plus a few bears and other moments of excitement in that neck of the woods!
