Following old trip reports, we hiked to Henline Falls, the various Family Falls and Ogle Mtn trail until the East Fork of Henline Mtn.
From Henline we backtracked to a rocky path we noticed on the way in. This took us too high, nearly to Ogle. When we crested, we noticed a side trail coming in from the east, which was a connector from the Ogle, confirmed on the hike back. The path flattened, but above Henline Falls. We passed one rocky trail down, kept going and then turned down another path back to Henline Creek (the path kept going, likely meeting Ogle?)
A short distance after the path met Henline Creek, we arrived at Jerry Falls.
Then, Mark and Dan Falls, maybe my favorite.
The route above Dan Falls was steep. The route continues straight up and fortunately, we noticed the split off to our left which brought us to Ron and Dave Falls.
We crossed Ron Falls, but then were uncertain about dropping down to try and find Maynard's cave. We were uncertain if we could get back up if we dropped down from the overhang. So, we backtracked to the steep chute which brought us to the Ron and Dave Falls overlook and headed up. The route took us to Ogle. We followed this to the miner's trail. Saw Deanna's slide from the trail, checked out the adits and then to Jackie and Steve Falls.
Back to the Ogle Mtn trail we headed up the steep switchbacks and continued until the trail crossed the east fork of Henline Creek. This crossing is sooner than we expected, as the USGS map shows the trail crossing further upstream. Perhaps there was a junction we missed.
Outstanding day for this trip. Thanks for all the postings leading us here!
