Andy,
Yeah, the angle of the photo I think makes a big difference with this slide - I had to 'tilt' the camera to get it to "look" right. You're right about the water level. It's pretty low most places in the gorge right now. I imagine the actual "falls" on the stream would be very impressive in high water, rather than so anticlimatic as it is now. However, the slides would be less intricate. I have to admit that I did get pretty lucky with the weather on my trip too. I thought it would be sunny, but it turned out to be overcast with a rare sun break - great for pics!
