Inspired by the recent trip reports about this area, we decided to head out to Rattlesnake Canyon last Sunday. We followed the same route described earlier, except that we scrambled to near the base of the lower falls. Here is the upper falls:
The lower falls:

Here is a GPS track. I was experiencing some GPS drift, but our route did vary a lot due to all of the interconnecting user trails and animal paths in the area:

We returned to the trailhead and set off along the user trail on the other side of the creek. It merged with two old roads, then curved away from the creek. There is a piece of pink flagging on the ground at this point. We scrambled straight downhill, bearing downstream and eventually got near the base of the falls. There is really no point going all the way to the base, as there is a huge pile of logs in the way and the view isn't any better.Lower Rattlesnake Falls 4/19
