Broken Top
Re: Broken Top 360 - July 4-5
Beautiful TR Mandrake - you sure have me interested in that area at this time of year with those pictures!
Some people are really fit at eighty; thankfully I still have many years to get into shape…

Fantastic trip report and beautiful pictures. It's a place I hope to revisit this summer.

Thanks for the TR and conditions report. Amazing to see the east-sdie tarn partially melted. Some historical areal photos show it solid in early Sept, if the dates are correct.

Wow! Cool to see the area so early. Thanks for the excellent TR - I can't wait to get up there once things melt out a little.

Interesting route on the North side.
I've just begun to explore that area. The Northeast side is least favorite because of fire and people at Three Creeks area but you have circumvented a lot of that.

Or, rather than go on over to Three Creeks Lakes, go up to the ridge just East of Broken Hand. There's about 3/4 mile between where you went. Looks like maybe the contour lines are far enough apart to be doable.
