Super Jealous over here, Peder. That is an awesome day's work!

Great map Pablo. I also have the 63(or maybe it is 67?) GPNF map and it shows the 211 up over Minnie Peak, the trail down miners creek to the green river looks really cool too, or atleast it did before the boom

Great trip and pictures, Peder! Minnie Peak over the lake is one of my favorite views, though I never seriously thought about climbing it (at least, before now).

Mt Minnie
Next time I go there, I will bring some kind of trekking poles.

Thx Peder,

Looks good. The old alignment took off from Snow Lake and went past the north end of Heart Lake on its way to Minnie Peak. I'm hoping to work out a loop that would visit some of the lakes to the north like Venus Lake and Hanaford Lake to the west. I think there is a route that would avoid restrictions - I should make some phone calls.

Paul - I think that you can visit Venus Lake but that Hanaford is off limits (timber industry). I'm curious to hear about your explorations!

This is an old discussion from 2012 (now 2019) but I'm wondering if anybody has developed any new information about getting to Minnie Peak. It's been on my adventure radar ever since I read this discussion. Here we are seven years later and maybe somebody has refined the effort. Anybody?

I see two ways in:
- Peder's one day track described with ample comments
- Bike in the on the private roads to get pretty close (not legal but probably easily doable if you're a law breaker).

I'm thinking a night or two at Ridge Camp might make the fun part of the ascent more enjoyable without the labor of paying out the cross-country work on the day of the ascent.

It's not too difficult to hit it from the backside, then come back down the Lakes trail.
