WOW ! Great photos and trip report. That was such a gorgeous hike late last summer that we were commenting how lovely it would be in the winter.

Ah, that's right. I'd be on I-84, either way, so usually go to HR to get to that side. Well, cool, I need to do that! :)

Yeah it was a great day, Karl, Since Eric & I live close to Sandy we went up & over 26, while the roads where snow covered travel was not difficult.

That looks like a wonderful winter hike! And you picked a fine day for it, as well. I had been wondering about the roads up there - sounds like taking the Hood River approach may not have helped much? I need to find a nice day to get this one in, myself, I think! :)
