Am I the only sucker for needing to Google every name on a brass plaque?

Re: Zigzag Canyon from Hidden lake -- 8/13/16

The major blowdown that is in this vicinity and has garnered a good deal of attention is on the Paradise Park Trail, the westerly parallel sister trail to Hidden Lake Trail. Re: McNeil Point Hike in snowshoes?

Several years ago I drove up the Rd1828 as far as I dare, then snowshoes up the road and trail and overnighted up there on the ridge below McNeil. The next morning I awoke to find fresh cougar tracks 20’ from my tent!

Re: Missing hiker on the Timberline Trail

Re: Pacific Crest Trail 2017 Thru-Hike

Hey Tim,
Pretty exciting and intimidating at the same time, huh?!
I'm starting April 19th and plan to go slow (13-15 miles/day) at first so I imagine we'll meet out there. Best of luck and good hiking!

Snow gate at Old Maid Flats

Can anyone confirm whether the snow gate leading to Ramona Falls trailhead is still open or not?
Thanks

Re: Lost stuffed seal pup in Jefferson Park!

Ranger Eric has returned Smokey the Seal to Liam and his sister. Mom, Sarah, brought a basket of cookies for our hero!
Thank you everyone who played a part in this Wilderness SAR mission!

Re: Lost stuffed seal pup in Jefferson Park!

Great news Rangerchick and Grannyhiker! Thank you!
I have a friend who will be there Friday too and will have his eyes open looking for it!
I'm hopeful at this point!
