Re: Wahtum Lake Car Access?
what did they do to violaters? When I was up there last year, I came back to a gentleman getting ready to write me a $100 citation. He took pity on me, didn't write the ticket, and I ordered a Forest Pass the next day. I've never met or talked to anyone who was actually cited for this, and ultimate...

Re: Acceptable location for game camera?
I don't mind them in general. I mind this one right at Sherard Point. I think there's too much junk out there already. If the junk is hidden, it doesn't bother me (how would I know about it?). I could concede there could be certain locations inappropriate for them. I don’t think this one is a trail...

I just store jet food in my tent. I feel its safer next to me rather than at a distance.

The shoes are very likely climbers approach shoes and were/will be picked up on the return to the trailhead.

Re: the "typo" on the sign...
I know PCTNST seems a bit redundant but I've seen it signed like that in other places as well.

Near Frying Pan Glacier. Far from any river drainage.-Q- wrote: I wonder exactly where the body was located. I suspected all along a river drainage would be involved.

Re: Trekking Pole Phobia?
Last month I jogged down the Wahkeena Trail. A woman ahead of me who had been walking started jogging too and didn't stop until she got into her car and drove off. I guess I scared her, but I don't know what I could have done ... shouted "wait, I'm not going to hurt you?" :? My girlfriend and I had...

Re: Olympic NP / Enchanted Valley
nice nwhikers report looks like they'll be able to move the road, but hard to tell from that photo Not in my opinion. The NPS decided not to relocate the road last time it washed out. In fact, they weren't even going to reopen the road beyond the bridge junction. It was closed for several years. It...

Re: the Table 4/1/16
What's the point of the stupid table on Table anyway? Art? It was in pieces on the 29th.
Some asshole wrote graffiti on a freshly cut log on above Carpenter Lake.
The sign for the east trail was scribbled on with people's assanine expressions. More stupid artwork.
