Re: parking garbage Table Mountain

This is a great and safe place to park for access to Table and more along the Dick Thomas Trail.
So yes, let's all help by (a) posting something in the field guide; (b) letting other hikers know about this; (c) pick-up if we see some. We can make this happen!

Re: Buck Point Trail 2/7 (trailwork)

Great work - makes the start of Ruckel Ridge a little more pleasant and easier since it only gets harder the further up you go. As to trail work in the Gorge by the USFS - I hike the Gorge all the time and have yet to see anyone from the USFS doing work there in the past couple of years. All the blo...

Chinook Trail work highlighted in Oregonian

The amazing and dedicated work of the Chinook Trail Association is highlighted in today's Oregonian with their continued efforts to link existing trails and new trails from Vancouver through to Stevenson and the PCT. Good reading and certainly something needing support and help from all of us. Here ...

Re: Palmer Mill - Devils Rest Loop - 01/27/13

Great exploring and finding for sure. All this leads to a much needed idea of getting the USFS to put in a loop trail to Angels Rest. Amazing photos - and nice to play with the Black and White. Good choice too on not doing the west ridge - sometimes it gets so steep there - especially on the descent with the snow packed ridge that you need crampons and ice axe for safety.
Need to get up there soon - love that good workout

So grateful - some of us are heading up Tanner to Wauna Point tomorrow so we'll admire the great work done - way to go and thanks again for all the dedication and hard work.

Re: Cooper Spur Iglooing

saw what was left of it today as we snow shoed up Tilly Jane to the A-Frame and then, given the good weather continued on up to the Cloud Cap Stone Hut at the Timberline Trail. Wonderful day on the east side of the mountain. We got an early start so lots of people still coming up on our way down. Do...

Massive amount of work - so grateful to folks like you.
Very nice way to give back and, I guess, work off some of the Christmas-time extra food.
