Re: Popular Mount St. Helens Recreation Site Vandalized

I don't think it's funny to say that you reported a killing to 911 as a prank Wait, what?! Are you referring to my post above? Let me state as clearly as possible, I did not make a false report to 911! I made a truthful report, but did so with no hope of action, did it only for amusement purposes.

Re: Popular Mount St. Helens Recreation Site Vandalized

Last time I called 911 it was just for fun, to see the reaction I'd get. Reported a man shouting " I'm going to start killing people "! Naturally, I didn't stick around, but I can just about guarantee there was no response. Not to put too fine a point on it, I hope you are kidding, because otherwis...

Re: White River Loop (Mt. Hood) 10-12-21

There's so much I still haven't explored in that area, especially down low. Some day. Great time of year to hike that zone. No bugs, no crowds, a bit of snow, not too hot. An inspiring report. I'd call in sick to work Friday, but I have a new job, and that wouldn't look good. I wondered what a snowb...

Re: Popular Mount St. Helens Recreation Site Vandalized

The public should call 911 or the county sheriff’s non-emergency phone line to report crimes. I stopped bothering with 911. It's a joke. I literally, no exaggeration, watched a man on the ground held at gunpoint for 13 minutes, as I spoke with a 911 dispatcher giving a precise crisp description of ...

Re: Popular Mount St. Helens Recreation Site Vandalized

According to local law enforcement officers, theft and vandalism on the forest are increasing significantly.
I'm shocked.
Degenerates will degenerate exactly as much as we allow. And we are absolutely allowing.

Re: Riley Meadows

Ah, this reminds me of my late 2020 funemployment days on that side of Adams, scouring every nook and cranny. Great time of year for alpine hikes. Crowds are gone, bugs are gone, nice and cool.

Damn job.

Re: Vista Ridge to McNeil Point (Sept 23)

The Sandy Glacier caves are still intact -- the cave on the left even has an ice arch at the entrance! I'd be inclined to go check it out, but I don't know when my next chance might be, and it might be collapsed by then. Besides, I've been there a couple times, and not eager to do the hike again. S...

I don't care how pretty it is, Vine Maple is a PITA for bushwhackers.
But at least it doesn't have thorns.
