The fire is only 50% contained per the news today. If you REALLY can't stand staying out of the gorge and letting it heal, join a trail repair group and help with restorations.

I have noticed a lot of errors on the map recently . For example -- http://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Larch_Mountain_Trail-Palmer_Mill_Road_Junction The Larch mt. Trail doesn't cross Palmer Mill Rd. It crosses Multnomah Basin Rd. Also the hadley trailhead .... on the map it's showing up near L...

Get a pair of runners tights and top. They act sort of like a wet suit and trap the wet..then your body temp warms that layer of water keeping you warm. Not dry but warm. Hah! Nope, that's not my comment at all.. My comment would be that a B Felony, shouldn't have probation as it's only penalty. By statute, a B felony can go up to 10 years in prison. yup I carry a marine air horn. They are VERY light and VERY loud. Pretty sure if I tooted it any bear or cat would jump and run. But I have bear spray too for worst case. Never had to use either one. But just in case.

Don't forget you will need to park at Ski Bowl (and see if the require a fee). TD&H trailhead closes every year 11/1 and you will get towed if you park at it. The trail is open, but the trailhead parking is closed now.

yes Larch Mt. The first time I hiked the rim and looked at my friend and said something is wrong with this forest. It just feels sick to me. The tree's seem unhealthy.
