Re: Goat Rocks (Hawkeye) snow update July 8-10

This is very timely. My wife and I are eyeing up a goat rocks weekend trip and have been looking for info on snow levels. Thanks for writing up this report.

I'm actually not sure I have it right with Pikas  Super cool to spot a few of them. Somehow I've seen only a single solitary one, way up in North Cascades NP. I'm a fan though. Adorable little things

Re: Lookout Mountain and Flag Point from Gumjuwac/Hwy 35

Very cool report. Nice to see that clear shot of Mt Hood. I'm a bit envious you saw Pikas (or is this a thing where the plural is just pica?) Nice stats for a day hike too! Until about 3 weeks ago I'd never camped out anywhere. That meant some long day hikes like this one. Kind of glad to have campi...

This is awesome. Not a death march; quite the opposite in fact! I love these reports from the Hells Canyon area. Really need to check the area out (and the Wallowas too)

Re: North Oxbow Hike

Welcome to the board and thanks for posting! This sounds like it was a rough outing. I wasn't familiar with this hike, but all the same appreciate the heads up about current conditions (and you got me to check out the field guide entry). Waiting until late summer sounds like a solid plan :D

Re: The Bee Line and Wycliffe Butte, Cranbrook, BC 6/16-17/22

Pretty sweet pay off for relatively short hikes! Thanks for this report. The local knowledge about finding the bee line trail will come in handy if I'm ever in the area; plus I bet someone will google the trail looking for info and find this helpful report. Also interesting to learn more about the m...

Re: Kamiak Butte 5-25-22

Nice to see these pictures from the dry side of the state. Being a new(ish) Seattleite I've not had a chance to explore the east side much, but I love the somewhat austere landscapes. The wildflowers are great too, of course. Thanks for reminding that Palouse falls is worth a visit and putting some ...

Re: Rowena Crest - Tom McCall Pt

One my favorite hikes, especially in wildflower season. But even in late summer the views are still great. When my wife and I first got into hiking this was a challenging trail for us. This report just made me look back at our pictures from 2009 when we first did this trail. Fun memories :D

Re: Hells Canyon: 5/10/22-5/11/22

This is an amazing trip report, and seemingly an amazing trip. I feel like doing this when it's too cold for the rattlesnakes to be active was a solid choice :) Really remarkable scenery out there though. I need to check out the eastern OR/ID area some day. Every time I see reports from out there it...

Super cool report! I love the southwest. Need to get back there some day.
