OR: Just continue up the road and hit the blue basin area... that's a neat often overlooked area all five little trails The little/short trails is actually what has kept me from visiting the Painted Hills more. Driving all that way, I tend to expect a good hike, and despite the views, I have only vi...

Re: Salt River Wild Horses
Wow!!! So cool to see them among such green foliage! :D Yeah if you're hooked on horse photos, go get 'em now... BLM is doing roundups prettymuch everywhere, like everything now, it's one of those "controversial" topics, but, from an art/photography perspective, they're really fun to be around! We c...

Re: Salt River Wild Horses
Yeah it's been great so far this year, just a huge improvement with a better monsoon and so on, so they have plenty to eat. They're worthy of checking out if you're ever passing through Phoenix! I can say I could have cared less about horses until I saw them = hooked!! Wow, they look like they're in...

Re: Arches National Park - a few trips!
That's funny! neighbors across the street just sold and moved to Oregon... Yeah the summer was brutal!!! Coming from Phoenix, it was a step in the right direction with it being around 10 degrees cooler at night; Moab is funny - there's def. a fair share of people that are against any growth there, b...

Re: Arches National Park - a few trips!
Yeah "bad" weather = good photos!! Just keep some food/snacks/warm weather gear in the vehicle! That's pretty magical to see snow at the GC!! Sure makes for a more interesting experience! Have not been to Horseshoe - I've read a few reviews of it, sounds amazing, may have to rent a vehicle with bett...

Yeah both are really cool... there's just endless opportunities... you could spend a lifetime just trying to find ruins/pictographs/glyphs alone!!

Re: Arches National Park - a few trips!
Sorta - photography burnout is still a thing, so I'm going to take some time off until we get some nice Monsoon action come late june/july... I've gone back n fourth a lot as of late: Who is this for? Is there some other way I can spend my time and have something to show for it in 5-20 years? Am I c...
