Can anyone tell me what this little guy is? Spotted it along the Wapato Greenway on Sauvie Island 5/11. It's a bit blurry as it was hopping all over the trail but the size seemed a little smaller than a sparrow. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/32885510207_a111aaceb6_z.jpg https://live.staticflic...
Was looking at some photos from the Tamanous Trail and spotted this white thing on the leaf to the right. It almost looks like a moth outline but maybe that is just an illusion (or a moth ghost? ) Anyone able to tell me what I'm seeing here? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/47727394562_6a59...
We had the same question after seeing some of this along the Gales Creek Trail on New Years Day. I was going to ask the same question and would love to know the mechanics behind these formations.
Thanks - I should have guessed some kind of egrets but didn't know about the bills. Just a bit to the left of that one this was going on. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1960/43377137310_413b5e49c3_k.jpg Of course those were the yellow bill variety. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1950/442796204...
