Re: Timberline at Muddy Fork
Thanks. That's what I figured but thought I'd be sure. I've hiked both before and liked the Yocum Ridge route better. :) pinecone is too modest to mention that he hosts https://elevationchanges.com/timberlinetrail/ , an extremely useful site which covers all things TT including snow depth, creek cr...

Re: Elk Cove Trail
Thank you for the TR and photos!
Did you take the third photo (the avalanche lilies) at Elk Cove, or somewhere along the TT between Elk Cove and Eden Park? If so, it is still VERY early in terms of the wildflower bloom.
Were there any other cars parked at the Elk Cove TH?

Yocum Ridge - best time for wildflowers?
Hi all, I plan to Yocum Ridge sometime this month. If you have been there for the peak of wildflower season, could you please let me know when you visited (and optionally share a photo or two)? Of course this is not a "normal" year ( whatever "normal" means in the Anthropocene ), but I can estimate ...

Re: 2022 and Beyond - Snow Levels
Wonderful website! The ability to quickly compare 2021 and 2022 snow levels is particularly useful. Thank you for creating and maintaining it!pinecone wrote: ↑July 12th, 2022, 4:07 pmI've got some continuously updating reports specific to the Timberline Trail at https://elevationchanges.com/timberlinetrail/

Sentinel Hub EO Browser — CURRENT satellite imagery! And the resolution is just high enough to be useful for snow scouting.

New slide on Eagle Creek Trail
Yesterday (6/12) I encountered a slide along on the Eagle Creek Trail app. 0.15 mile south of Tish Creek. A 30 foot section of the trail is sliding down the hill. At one point the trail is no wider than an average boot. See attached photo. Approximate location is 45.61414, -121.88728. The slide occ...
