Thanks! A friend just posted on a separate thread that it was indeed Basil Clark and there was a nice article on it.

Russ Jolley sign history?
Hi all, A friend got a nice photo of the Devils Rest "Devil on a sled" sign. I know I've read here and there on this site over the years about those signs. I searched this morning and couldn't find the info I was looking for. I love the one of the bear over in the Wygant Peak area. I'm wondering if ...

Re: Elk Cove avalanche
We saw that from up on the saddle above the avalanche and wondered if anyone had checked it out. It's impressive even from above. Thanks for posting it.

Re: 2021 Snow Level
The big advantage is it gets you over 400' higher when you start your hike, nearly 500' above the normal start. That's an advantage? I can go hike Deschutes if I want to avoid EG. Re: McCord Creek-Elowah Falls to Tanner Creek 1-6-21
I was curious if the 400 was open past Tanner Creek? Looking at one list of openings it appeared so, but I see an area closed sign in one of your final photos of the area. I really liked that little section for spring woodland bloom. Thank so much for all the work on the trails. As someone who has t...

Re: Newton Clark Ridge/Moraine, 8/31/19
In 2017 I went a little ways up that ridge. We stopped at about 6500' and even from there the views were amazing. Loved all the waterfalls I could see. I came up an easier route though. I took the Elk Meadows trail over to the Newton trail until I hit Timberline then headed south over to that ridge ...

Re: Walk up Ride down.
I've taken a shuttle down from Timberline lodge. It dropped me off at the Government Camp Rest area. Lots of people stayed on, so it does make other stops. I just googled Timberline shuttle to find it.
