Re: So, who's going eclipsing on Sunday night?

Sherrard Point an option at that time of night? I would assume it doesn't get it's winter gate for another month.

Re: Kwanesum Falls on Moffett Creek - Confirmed access / no

Missed the video! Really great job on that! I see now that you guys were on the spine that comes down in front of the falls. I believe that is part of the bypass that can be used to get around the falls. I think there would have been a way further down to a spot below the small falls, below the main...

Re: Kwanesum Falls on Moffett Creek - Confirmed access / no

Congrats guys! Well done, you guys beat me to it. I've been eyeballing that canyon for years now. I knew it was doable but hadn't wanted to do the Murna side. I always envisioned a trip from the Wauneka side down. I figured one trip for the falls above Kwanesum and one for below. Maybe it's just too...

Re: Munra Ridge to Wauneka Ridge loop - 3/28/15

My 4.5 hr window was closing fast and I was trying to book it, but had forgotten how steep/rough the lower part of Wauneka ridge is. It's also not as easy to navigate going down - I kept getting off route too far to the north and having to cut back west to the correct descent ridge. Eventually I go...

Re: Transcending darkness: Midnight Defiance and Larch Sunri

As fellow OH's have already stated, your enthusiasm and clear love of the outdoors has been inspiring to a lot of us. I look forward to your trip reports and they always make me want to get back out on the trail. We've never met in person Sean, but from your posts I know you will push on and surpass...

Re: Munra Ridge to Wauneka Ridge loop - 3/28/15

Well done Nat. Thanks for the PM. I'll be back to collect my "artifact" soon. Never thought I'd see it again! I think I'll be going up Nesmith and connecting to Wauneka. Ridge when I do it. Nice to know someone saw that post from so long ago. Assuming it was in the area of Vine Maple below the visio...

Re: Upper Munra and Moffett Falls by Wahclella Falls

Your "not a maintained trail" is the way up to Murna Ridge. Incredibly great views of the Gorge up there. Pretty steep but worth it. Wahe isn't too crazy to get to. I've done it during the winter and I found that I had to cross the lower section of the creek more often than the upper. My advice is t...

Waterproofing Sprays?

I've got an old Columbia shell that is losing it's water repellency. I'll be picking up a new jacket soon, but I'd like to "spray" some new life into the old one. Mom used to spray Scotchguard on stuff years back. Was wondering if anyone has used anything else that might still give the jacket it's b...
