That trail is awesome, as is the rest of the Dark Divide area. You should check out the French Creek TR. next, it is pure old growth magic!

Amazing pictures, I was lucky enough to camp by that tarn at Donahue Pass, the morning light there was splendid. Great reports guys!

I hiked the JMT a couple of years ago, it was an amazing trip! Thanks for resurrecting those memories, the Sierra is the bomb. I gotta get back there soon, maybe the High Sierra Route next year.

Yeah! That section of the Wonderland is a magical place, I agree. After a Fall trip around the mountain a few years back, I was bowled over. Ohh, Golden Lakes and Klapatche Park also had splendid Fall colors too.

Yes, the Washboard Ridge Trail was gone after the first mile or so from the Bear Creek intersection. The first bit you follow Loowit style carins with weird snag branches jutting out of them, and then you can follow the top of the ridge to the Miner's Creek Trail intersection and more solid tread. If you want something a little more challenging, try the Timberline Trail on for size. If you camp on the draw above the White River on the last night and get up early, you should have no trouble making it back to the lodge by noon.
