The court cases about the northwest forest pass say that the forest service can't charge for parking unless there are amenities provided. That's the requirement listed in the bill passed by congress. The court cases are a little ambiguous so I can see why some people think the court cases say the f...

Re: Who else got their central cascades permit today?
not going to repeat this exchange again :) Of course not. You've long complained about certain areas requiring fees to use, yet when you are presented with un-refutable evidence of not having to pay a fee, you still say you have to pay a fee. You don't have to pay the NWFP unless you use the amenit...

You're almost there - if they provide the amenities :) One more time...here's the judge's statement from Fragosa et al vs USFS: On April 28 U.S. District Judge Terry J. Hatter Jr. “found that the USFS cannot charge fees to visitors who park their vehicles and head off down the trail without using a...

Huh...if you won, you wouldn't abide by your own victory based on your posts about the NWFP.retired jerry wrote: ↑April 8th, 2021, 5:04 amI am fantasizing flaunting this just to make a court case because this is not legal

Re: Public Lands Getting HAMMERED by Crowds
Yes I know this has nothing to do with overcrowded Public lands :) And this is the kind of crap that gets threads locked. Take it somewhere else so people can talk about the OP's issue! We're trying! We're trying! C'mon man! https://image.slidesharecdn.com/scientificmethodvariables-130916160030-php...

Re: Public Lands Getting HAMMERED by Crowds
Since states cannot control who travels between states, individual state policy only goes so far. I would add that Oregon's excellently low mortality rating - yes, thank you Gov. Re: Public Lands Getting HAMMERED by Crowds
One big factor driving the concentrated crowds right now is all the areas that are closed from the fires. Speaking of which, has anyone heard ANYTHING on the re-opening of highway 224? Highway 22 has been re-opened for months now and 224 is still closed with no announced plan or even phased re-open...
