Definitely deer, not elk. Elk don't have dark tails like that. Also, your frog appears to be a Western Toad. How close did you get to Spirit Lake? It looked pretty close in the photos, and I wasn't aware of anywhere around the lake where you're allowed to get very close. At least none of the trails ...

Hey, mammals are not really my thing... especially rodents. I saw this guy while checking out birds on my deck (Columbia County). I know it's hard to tell size from these photos but it was pretty large for a rodent. The size of a house cat maybe... The tail is long and gets fuller towards the end. I...

Always love your TRs and your photos.
That is indeed a raven. You can easily tell by the tail if nothing else. Raven tails are shaped like diamonds, and crows' are "flat". (This illustrates it, haha.)

That is a very cool TR, and beautiful photos! Well done you guys! I have a soft spot for that place, even though it claimed two of my toenails. Makes me want to go back though. But the more traditional route, lol.
