Re: Shellrock Mtn Summit (Gorge) - Jan 25, 2019

They've been improving the powerline roads. The gravel road doesn't continue west past the bridge over Summit Creek, but there is flagging that leads you SW, up and around 'The Backbone' and over to Shellrock. I stumbled upon this thread trying to find out more info.

Speaking of triangulation. Bump! I noticed this marker years ago above the North Bonneville Traihead. Today I finally decided to check it out.

Missing woman's car found at Multnomah Falls

Anyone in the area on Saturday (12/19)? I did the short loop in the afternoon (clockwise) but didn't see anyone who resembled her. I hope they search the Basin. Lots of people have been going to the ornament trail this year and posting about it on various sites. http://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/...

(though I suspect all of us might feel the same if asked to head into the office on our day off -- ODFW workers just happen to deal in wildlife) As a salaried employee I'm expected to jump in and do whats necessary when needed regardless of the day of the year. I've spent more than one Christmas or...

This cub not only had the misfortune to loose or be abandoned by it's mother but to have that happen at the beginning of a Holiday weekend. I too can see both sides, personally I come down on the side of human intervention to save the cub but can see the argument of the other side. What I can't rec...

Re: Cougar Kit missing it's Mum :^(

Koda, had any of the agencies relayed this to me I'd have hung up and forgotten about it. I frankly assumed that's what they'd tell me.
