Re: House passes the EXPLORE act

ahhh.... that makes sense

I actually don't mind target shooters if there was a way to not annoy others too much with the noise. Hiking up the Zigzag ridge or the north side of Mt Hood, I frequently hear target shooters.

Don't want to get into an internet battle over guns :)

Which was sort of odd, why isn't red shorts posting, why does petr post for red shorts? You're saying that red shorts and petr are the same person? Petr (red shorts) poste...

Re: House passes the EXPLORE act

"Requires constructing a target shooting range on every National Forest" that's a weird one I would think the government wouldn't want anything to do with target shooting ranges because it exposes them to liability - if anyone is ever hurt they can blame it on incorrect government action like the se...

Toliak Point feb 2024

In February I spent a few nights on Toliak Point Toliak Point from my campsite: 202402kalaloch.jpg I do a trip there most years. Mostly walking along beaches with occasional spots where a trail goes around a head. Bald Eagles. Marine Mammals. Racoons. Off season hardly anyone. There was this guy Gar...

Rogue River 4/9/2024

First I tried to get to Tucker Flat but there was snow on the road. Then I went Graves Creek (from Wolf Creek). A few people parked there. The road also appeared open from Merlin. Then I drove to Whiskey Creek, a little easier access to the Rogue than Graves Creek. Abandoned car just before trailhea...

Re: 2022 and Beyond - Snow Levels

I tried to drive to Tucker Flat on the middle to the Rogue River. A bit too much snow for my tastes. On April 9.

It's probably okay now, or by the time anyone reads this and then goes there.

I just went to the east end - Graves Creek
