And the road in. but I don't think it's bad enough to not go there. It's mostly recovered. looking down from ridge: monty2024c.jpg in the campground: monty2024...

Re: Full Monty Campground Review :)
nice review. This is one of my favorite campgrounds because it's not busy there's a gate 1.5 miles from Monty that used to be closed during the winter, but not the last few years. If it was closed and you didn't want to walk you could always just camp at Perry South yeah, enigmatic in that they say ...

Re: Two day backpacking trip recommendations
When I camp on snow, I need an extra closed cell foam matt to sleep on - the snow really sucks the heat out Depending on the snow - sometimes it's hard snow I can just walk on, or soft snow you need snowshoes or skis, or icy snow you need micro spikes. If it's also cold then you need extra stuff for...

Re: North Shore Trail 03-11-2024
I wasn't familiar with Corvalis to Coast trail
https://c2ctrail.org/hiking-the-trail/h ... irections/
There's a lot of road walking. Some of the road walking is on gated Forest Service roads which wouldn't be bad. Anyone done this?
It sounds more developed than the Eugene to PCT trail.
