Re: Deschutes - Bighorn Sheep

Great sighting drm! The ewes(females) have much smaller/straighter horns than the rams. Bighorn don't shed their horns either, so it was probably a group of females.

Re: Cook Hill on a winter day

Nice report DN! Those rime covered towers are something else! I've only been up Cook once but I remember the old road feeling very trail like as well.

Re: Langille Ridge and McCoy Peak, July 12th, 2018

Great report and pics DN! I scrambled up to Langille's summit last summer while looping the ridge, rough trail and the 29 road. On the ascent I slipped around the east side via a steep, loose gully. On the trip down I just stayed on the west side(also loose). Here are some pics, Curling around the e...

Re: Tales of Trouble and Trash in the Oregon Woods

Some are very general and some more specific, just to randomly list a few *produce/use less in general *properly dispose of what we do use *free dump fees ...

Tales of Trouble and Trash in the Oregon Woods

Hey guys, I know it's been a while since I've posted here, I hope everyone's doing well. I've been meaning to share about another pursuit I've been involved in for the last few years. In the search to connect a series of oddball mega routes and find quiet places to run my dogs over the years, I've c...

Re: Show us yer stats

Hey no worries, I have the least astounding numbers of all. Never logged eg and stopped keeping track of mileage in 2017 and it was great. I'm not sure about favorite hike but there were a few that stand out, traversing the ridge south of Munra and then looping all the way to Larch Mountain and back...
