Vehicle Access to NF660 at PCT?

I am planning on section hiking here and there SB on the PCT all of Oregon over the next few years. I would like to start short stints. (Joined by a 9yr old). Does there happen to be vehicle access to NF660 rd at the PCT? It would be nice to park a car here to jump off. I think I could do thi...

Re: Abiqua off-limits?

I was there Saturday running into FallGuy on the way! What a beautiful place! I noticed the signs and wondered about this very topic. If you read carefully, the sign mentions hunters and ATV's, but not hikers. :) I'm sure that they mean to include anyone, but maybe we can get off on that technicalit...

Re: Mt.Hood Summit Hike

'Tis no walk in the park. All advice given so far is good. Take the class, build your stamina and go with an experienced climber. Also, it might be a good idea to get a physical first. I found out I have excersize induced asthma while climbing Hood. Not fun. :)

Re: Free Mountain Hardwear Stuff at Seattle Store

At first I thought you two jumped on them kind of fast, but after checking all 5 of their posts I noticed that they are all about Mt. Hardware.

Re: Tanner Butte - Trail Maintenance, 11-14-2009

This is truly exciting! I hiked the eagle-tanner trail the summer befor last. Let me tell you, it is a recipe for getting lost especially for the inexperienced. I made several "directional guesses" which made me a little uneasy. If it wasn't for some old markers I surely would have gotten lost. :) D...

Re: Bonney Meadows - Boulder Lakes Lost Trails

Indeed! I was CubFan, but I changed my trail name to Arioto during that hike. I couldn't have described this area any better! A couple side notes. Being that it was September, Kane springs was nothing but seapage. Yuck! So, if you don't hit Bonney Creek or one of the lakes, you're out of luck. Also,...

Re: Bonney Meadows - Boulder Lakes Lost Trails

I absolutely love the boulder lake area. My dad and I camped here many times as I grew up. I lost him recently, so me and a buddy of mine just had to spend some time up there to think pay homage to him. One word. Solitude. Forgive me, but I don't have my map with me. We scrambled up the left side of...

Splintercat, I was unable to get a good enough picture of the "mountain band" that day after running into you. Did you snap any? Would love it if you could share. :)
