Re: Replacement for Coolpix S52

I didn't see the Nikon recommendation until after the purchase so regret that, would be nice to have a ...

Re: Replacement for Coolpix S52

Thank you for all the feedback and thoughts, this information is really helpful for researching other cameras. Good points on the interchangeable lense; this is not a feature a really want or need so will look at some of those you all recommended. Thank you!

Replacement for Coolpix S52

Well the Nikon Coolpix S52 passed on and I’m looking for a replacement; this camera worked well because of the size and ease in use. The Sony A6000 with 16-50 looks like a nice upgrade replacement but wanted to reach out to those who are into our outdoor hiking trails to get your thoughts. My iPhone...

Re: Green Point Mountain Loop Hike

I was up at Rainy Lake Campground about 3 or 4 weeks ago and they were still maintaining the sites. The directions in the field guide are very good once at the forest service road, but for some reason I always get lost using the directions from Parkdell to the forest service road. I'm sure it is use...

Re: Enchanted Valley Chalet--going, going

Wow, that is sad. That is such a cool looking building. So based on my below picture from June 2011, the river now runs where the closer tree used to be. Nature is powerfull!

Re: Jan. 19 and 20 Free Day at WA State Parks

Is Beacon Rock an area I can park free on these days to hike Hamilton Mountain? I went to the website and it is confusing...almost sounds like you can park free but if you want to go hiking you need the Discovery pass. I routinely get the annual Northwest Forest Pass but stopped hiking in Washington...

Re: Folding camp chairs

I use the Crazy Creek Hex which is about 1 lb 5 ozs. This is my luxury item and will typically only bring it when going for more than one night and have a base camp for most of the nights allowing me to just leave it at camp. This chair adds a lot of comfort for me after hiking all day and can be la...
