I can assure you, RoA is most definitely closed, and largely non-existent...
Even before it was closed it had become largely non-existent.

Re: Rooster Rock Wagon Trail

But wear your cloth mask if you feel protected. Geez... how many times must it be stated? Masks are not for protecting the wearer. They’re for protecting other people from the wearer, who may unknowingly be infected. I personally don't feel the need to virtual signal with a cloth mask. What the hel...

I doubt it was larger than a foot, maybe about 10", perhaps 1/4" thick. At Bluff Mtn TH.

Seems kind of ironic to complain about what the Oregonian reports when there are multiple trip reports posted here daily. I for one would prefer people go to those more popular sites, but sites like this are bringing...

metal plate

Any idea what this thick dinner-plate sized piece of metal is(was) for? The tree has completely grown around the metal chain it hangs from. Found on the coast on the edge of a sand dune in Siuslaw National Forest.

Yes, that's the road. So enticing at that point... Or it's the loose rock on a perpendicular incline t...

Re: Best non-technical 6,000'+ peaks for winter?

Pueblo Mountain- VERY wild and uncrowded year round. Might have a great trip in the winter, with relatively little snow. Yes, but let me take this opportunity to issue a warning. Hike up from the base on the east side. You can park a 4x4 on the road near some historic mining activity (on topo map)....
