Re: N Fk Middle Fk Imnaha: 9/8/23-9/9/23
Such a fantastic trip, and a TR to match! I always really admire your reports: for whatever reason, I find myself writing fewer and fewer these days, and I deeply appreciate your willingness to put in the work to get these together, especially for areas like this. Thanks Robin! I miss reading your ...

Broken Top TH Road
So just how rough is the road to Broken Top TH once past Todd Lake day use area? It is described as "very rough and requires high-clearance AWD or 4WD vehicle". Edit: William Sullivan describes it as "This may be the worst road you've ever seen, with giant ruts that slow 4-wheel drive rigs to a craw...

Re: Nine Days in the Wind River Range, WY (Sept 2-10, 2023)
Great TR!
I would have had serious issues with the elevation… and the wet weather. It sucks backpacking in the rain and cold. Hiking in wet feet is a recipe for blisters.
Believe it or not, my favorite part of the TR was the CalTopo map. What can I say, I’m a map and route geek.

Re: Wallowa Lake to Dollar Lake
The route down from Aneroid Mountain to Dollar Pass is steep and scrambly, especially at the top. It can also be easy to lose in places. Since my first trip report about the route from the tram across HEHA Ridge (Howard/East/Hidden/Aneroid) down to Dollar Pass, I can tell it has gotten more foot tra...

Re: Adams Round the Mountain 2023/08/25-27
Great report! Brings back memories. Sounds like you had no problem going down the Klickitat Glacier. Going down that glacier is the only reason I go clockwise, due to concerns of slipping. Maybe I'll rethink that. Yeah, the Little Muddy always seems to be the only one I have ever had to do a wet cro...

Re: Table Mountain smoke apocalypse 082023
Thanks for the intel on parking options. I had wondered about accessing the area from the west side of Hamilton Creek. I did a 17 mile Table/Cedar/Aldrich loop a couple months ago. The Cedar Mountain trail is getting overgrown. If I didn't have a track of the route, it would have been very hard to f...

Re: Interactive trail maintenance map for Wallowas
That's the interactive map I included a link to in my Hells Canyon TRs. It's changed and not nearly as accurate as before. Some trails say "Trail maintained over 3 years ago" when previously it noted a year and a month of the last maintenance. Also, the URL changed.
