Another great trip report and images, Mike. Especially liked images 5 thru 9 - atmospheric. What type of camera do you & your wife use when hiking?

Great TR and pics, Tyc. Thanks for posting. From the looks of it, most of the snow between Coldwater Peak and Mt. Margaret has melted. By any chance, did you happen to catch any glimpses of road 99? The GPNF site lists that route as closed due to snow.

Once again, great TR and images, mileagemike. Looks like amazing territory to explore.
"And my wife noticed this rock that had a face-like appearance on it!"
"Do you see the face in the rock?"
That's funny and creepy at the same time.

Thanks for the TR, BarleynHops. I've been curious to know Loowit Trail conditions between Sheep Canyon and Butte Camp.

Great trip report and photos, mm25000. That shot of the spider on the Beargrass bloom was intriguing. Thanks for posting.

Re: Toutle-Cinnamon attempt, Goat Marsh Success! 6/16/12
It was great meeting you, Jim. Kneedrgr13 and I had a good time hiking with you. Too bad the Cinnamon Trail attempt was only a reconnaissance mission. I'd think that by the second week of July most of that snow at 3,800' will be absent. At least the hike into Goat Marsh was a success (I think).

Congratulations, Romann!
Your summit approach qualifies this TR as an "Off-Trail" Report as well (I would think). Pretty ballsy route, too...
Any sign of trail disturbances on the Devil's Elbow?
I trust images from your expedition will also appear in one of your Picasa galleries in the future?

Re: 6/3/12 King's Mt. & Elk Creek Loop Hike
Great trip report and photos, mileagemike25K. There were plenty of flowers in bloom as we approached the summit! :) Actually, it was a very impressive display that my single picture didn't capture. 5 Plenty of colorful flowers!_(1).JPG And then when I thought nothing else could go wrong we met up wi...

Great TR and photos, Mike. Out of curiosity, what tools did you and your wife use to cut back the vine maple? Pruners?
