It is sad when I look on Google Earth for waterfalls and then you find that the land they are on is gated by timber companies and it takes a $300 permit for you to get in there... I am all for private property rights and we need lumber, but it is sad the amount of beautiful land we can't access that...

I've been in SAR for over 5 years in the area. Absolutely they are great, they take the search out of search and rescue. Yes!! Safe :). Great news!! Also thank you to a few of the voulunteer crew I ran into near the Franklin Ridge! Very good chance that those three were the team that found the hikers.
