Re: South Fork Water Line/ Memaloose Exhibit
The museum is now open every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. We added an artifact to the South Fork Water Line exhibit, and have a piece of the pipe coming from John Collins of the SFWB soon.

Re: South Fork Water Line/ Memaloose Exhibit
Rob,
The museum hours and days are a little wacky. It's open every Wednesday from 11am to 4pm, and every other Saturday (2nd, 16th, and 30th of June) from 11am to 4pm. We'll be adding artifacts as well to the exhibit within the next few weeks.

Re: South Fork Water Line/ Memaloose Exhibit
UPDATE: For those that haven't had a chance to see the exhibit yet, the Museum will be free for the whole month of June 2012. Also after John Collins visited the exhibit, he decided to get us a piece of the pipe, as well as actual minutes that were recorded in a book while the project was underway! ...

Re: South Fork Water Line/ Memaloose Exhibit
Yes, it will be free on the 19th, the 23rd, and the 30th, after that they'll start charging. It's located right above the view spot for that waterfall over there. Kind of a weird location, but it's free for 3 days!

South Fork Water Line/ Memaloose Exhibit
Hey Everyone, Myself, along with my friend Mark and John Collins of the South Fork Water Board, have been working over the past 3 months in creating an exhibit dedicated to the South Fork Water Line. We have 20 historical photos and over a page and a half of information. The exhibit will open to the...

Re: Signs popping up around Memaloose/ South Fork
:) As an active volunteer with the Clackamas County Forests and Recreation/Clackamas County Dump Stoppers and the Clackamas River District of the USFS, I really wouldn't put a lot of worry on those signs! None of these public entities have placed those signs there and they ENCOURAGE the public to v...

Re: Signs popping up around Memaloose/ South Fork
Glad to see everyone is confused and sort of pissed of like I was. There's nothing going on illegally down there, and the sign is written in such a weird way. I'll keep hiking it just as we all did that day, because we're not trespassing, we're hiking!

Re: Signs popping up around Memaloose/ South Fork
From reading the sign it sounds to me like the illegal activity concerns the digging up and removing from the grounds of whatever the artifacts are. If they found pot plants back there they'd either already be cut down or under active surveillance. No way they found pot plants, especially with all ...

Re: Signs popping up around Memaloose/ South Fork
A Couple of questions for you: What do you mean "artifacts"? There was a settling tank and some other old iron work after crossing the bridge, but I'm curious what else you found? Where were those rocks stacked up? Did they try and cover up one end of one of the tunnels or something? Or is that som...

Signs popping up around Memaloose/ South Fork
Went out to Memaloose today with 7 other people. We did a hike from the spur road/rock wall down to the river up to the upper falls and down to the lower falls and back. Overall it was a good day to go hiking, no rain, no wind (not as it was projected) However there are a few new things of concern t...
