Re: Looking forward to sharing hiking tips
Welcome, and nice hiking sticks plus great photo, think I've been to that spot before. Watch out for the ticks.

Beautiful shots and perfect timing, you beat the rain/whatever. Your weather forecaster must be professional.

Klickitat River Trail, Lower Swale Canyon, Wahkiacus TH
Begin at Waikiacus which is the Lower Swale Creek Canyon TH. Walked to 27/7 trestle which is where I ended the Harms Rd TH hike in January. Lots of fragrant Desert Parsley along trail, did acquire one small tick. The trail was, of course, very rocky as a former rail line and the multiple trestles we...

Re: Eagle Creek 4.24.22
You are so right about the day we caught Bobcat, couldn't have been any nicer and the smiles we met testify to that. I'd forgotten how beautiful that walk was in spring.

Re: Dry Creek, Trapper Creek Wilderness
Thanks Alpen, it's time to head over there now. If no show at TH then shouldn't be much on the trails - of course there'll be lots of trees and limbs down.

Eagle Creek 4.24.22
Spectacular warm day at Eagle Creek last Sunday. Surprisingly not too crowded but be aware the EC exit is closed for construction. We came from Portland and took Exit 40 and drove to the Tooth Rock TH. Well, actually we parked about 1/2 mile from the TH since the exit road was full of cars with one ...

St Helens, Hummocks to Boundary to Loowit VP
My friend and I planned on hiking CCW from the Hummocks TH to Johnson Ridge Observatory and back. The Hummocks Trail was snow free and in good shape. The broken bridge is easy to cross since one side is securely seated. Saw no critters on the trail, just lots of birds and some ducks and geese. Great...

Re: 2022 and Beyond - Snow Levels
Thanks Kel and Don, that's a lot of work and I'm sure all of the Trapper Creek fans appreciate it so much. I'm not younger or stronger but my friend and I will attempt to move some of the pieces from the trail when we head into the area. You guys are trail stewards for sure.

Re: Klickitat Trail: Swale Canyon Hike
Thanks for the report, we intend to get over there this Saturday or Sunday and sounds like it should be mostly free of ice. We did the upper trail Wednesday starting at Harms Rd (need to get a post going) and it was beautiful with snow only on about 1000 foot of trail, easy to walk over.
