Beautiful photos; could I ask where the trailhead to this hike is located?

(I did a Google search but only found the Deschutes River Trail in Bend, but this is obviously far north of that)

I see that bobcat's original trip report was March 28th, so maybe I was a little early for widespread flowers.

I hiked this today: beautiful rolling green hills with sunny views of snowy Mt Hood off in the distance. Expansive views of The Dalles and the Columbia River down below. Strange Plants near Silcox Hut on Mount Hood

Hi all! On Dec 3rd, 2021, I was around 7,000 ft on Mt Hood when I noticed some strange, wonderful plants growing in the rocky soil. I was close to Silcox Hut, and almost under the Magic Mile Chairlift. Each plant was probably the size of my hand. They were a pea green, with a tinge of purple on top....
