I took the Mount Hood Express bus to Timberline Wednesday -- see that post here -- for fresh snow, clear skies, and not having to drive on snow. I drove road L1100 past Tarbell north trailhead, to the junction with road 4109, which deadends at Silver Star north TH. Rd L1100 has been "repaired" with a layer of coarse loose gravel. It's punishing, but consistent. I imagine you could drive it in a Civic, if willing. I didn't investigate 4109, ...
