I saw some bear tracks recently in the Badger Creek Wilderness.

And here is is a bear I was able to observe for a few minutes last August at Goat Lake near Olympic NP. The highlight of my season.

I dont know the mileage, but wouldnt it be better exiting at Longmire?

Are you going to backtrack from Mowich Lake? Sunrise is between White River and Mowich.

I went on March 12. There was room for several cars on the side of the road. We skiied in, but there was a packed trough from the snowshoers. It's about 2.5 miles up the road to the trailhead. We took off our skis and hiked from there, trail was well packed didn't need spikes or snowshoes. 9.4 miles...

With your Saturn, you may end up stopping and walking the final mile to Brietenbush Lake TH.

You will have no problem getting to the S BB TH. Graveled smoothness.

I know a great spot-Dollar Lake. It's located between Aneroid Mountain and Pete's Point. hammock.jpg View from Dollar Ridge, which is one of the most wonderful ridgewalks I have ever ambled.
