Re: Clackamas River trail
Thanks for all the good information. I'm like a lot of hikers trying to find good trails that aren't in the Gorge. Is it Saturday yet?!

Clackamas River trail
Anyone been on this trail lately? I've never been there. I was thinking of going Saturday starting from Indian Henry TH. How's the road for a Yaris? I am assuming no snow. Thanks for any info.

Re: Wind River Mts. 9.7-9.13 2017
Thanks for your replies. I almost went to the Brewing Pub but went to a Mexican restaurant instead. It was noisy and a little crowded with delicious food. After 7 days on trail noisy and crowded was a good thing. I think if you use the CDT you can make a huge variety of different loops. If you facto...

Wind River Mts. 9.7-9.13 2017
I've been back a little over a week so I thought I would post a TR. I took off on this trip early on the morning that the Eagle Creek fire started. My first stop was a 4 day tune-up trip in the Wallowas. When I came out from that trip I was stunned/freaked out to hear about the fire. I almost came h...

Re: Wind Rivers Eclipse
Thanks for the information. The FS website says to use an approved hard container for food storage which was news to me. The last time I was in the Winds I used my old green Ursack. I'll give them a call this week. I plan on going easy the first few days for the altitude. I plan on spreading the dri...

Re: Wind Rivers Eclipse
Sounds like an awesome trip. I haven't been to the Winds in years, something I plan to correct in the second week of September. How was the drive? 900'ish miles is a long haul. How did you store your food? Eagerly awaiting your TR.

Gnarl Ridge
Has anyone gone to Gnarl Ridge from Hood River Meadows TH lately? Any current info on trail conditions and such would be appreciated. Heading up Sunday, hopefully early-ish, if anyone is interested in hiking along, not too fast with picture breaks. Thanks.
Edit: Oh yeah, how is the bug situation?

Re: Wyeth conditions?
Thanks for all the good information. This could be a good time to dust off the snowshoes.
