It isn't abnormally early for snow queen.

(And the first flowers in the eastern Gorge usually start around New Year's Day.)

Snow queen. Along with osoberry, one of the very first flowers west of the Cascade crest.

LCL itself isn't much, but LCL Campground is notable as one that can be easily used year-round even after it's "closed."

Not full-on clickbait, I said it was "a bit" click-baity: attention-getting words in the thread title and a bunch of external links in the post.

It's not against the rules of the forum, I just disagree with the sentiment.

I gotta say, it's a little hard for me to think of a man-made lake as a "crown jewel." Seems a bit click-baity.
