USFS Recreation Table Website
One day last week, I noticed that the USFS websites for MHNF and GPNF removed their recreation map and tables that listed the status of trails, roads, sites, etc. It's gone and in its place is a link to a very unhelpful map where you have to click on each trailhead individually. In addition, everyth...

Re: Found: Electronics. Trillium Lake
How is the snow level at Trillium? Is it enough to snowshoe yet? I'm thinking of taking some folks up there this weekend who've never been snowshoeing.

If I spent a lot of time in those conditions, I'd buy some dedicated snow pants, or ...

Re: Horseshoe Meadows, Mt Adams
Thanks for the info. How were the mosquitoes? We went up last year about this time and they were horrible. Went up around this time a few years ago and they were nonexistent. Hoping to find that mozzie-free window for Stagman Ridge.

Re: 2019 Trail Work Parties at Mount St. Helens
Two questions for you: 1. There's going to be a trail race on the same day and trail you're doing on 8/3. How's that going to work for all parties involved? 2. Any chance the Boundary West trail, between JRO and the Hummocks, will see some love soon? There are some sections with trail sloughing that...

Time to stop lurking
Hi everyone, I've been lurking a while and decided to weigh in on a few threads, so I figured I'd register and introduce myself... finally. My husband and I have been here about 3 or 4 years, after living in Texas and Tennessee (and Colorado for me). We absolutely love it here. The board has been ve...
