As of July 30, 2019, the tricky slide you mentioned is still there, and still dangerous. It is only two or three steps to get across, but a misstep here would be very serious. I would probably advise against doing this loop in order to avoid this slide crossing. It is just not worth it. Siouxon Peak...

I tried to do this trail yesterday. It is just one logging field after another. You can find the trail between the logging fields, but after a mile or so I just gave up. I called the DNR and they said that there is no timetable for the completion of logging activities, but probably several more year...

Wow. I went up Mt. Defiance a few weeks ago, and it took me 6 hours and 40 minutes total. And then I had to rest for three days. Devil's Rest I had never heard of, so thanks for that pointer. I have always been too scared of the crowds and parking problems at Dog Mountain to try that one. Good job, ...

Paradise Park Trail 778

This trail is impassible after the first four miles due to downed trees. The detritus of downed trees and branches is more than ten feet deep on top of the trail. July 2017.
