Re: Snow levels on PCT from Cascade Locks
I checked out that trip report from Eagle Creek to Wahtum Lake. Looks like there will definitely be snow in the area. I'm going to hike there this weekend and will report back.

Got it. I'm going to probably hike the PCT from the Herman Creek TH this weekend. I'll post my trip next week.

Re: Eagle Creek to Wahtum Lake
Thanks for the snow report! So there was snow all along the trail around the lake?
I'm thinking about hiking to Wahtum Lake next weekend along the PCT so I'm trying to gauge how much snow on the trail to expect.

Snow levels on PCT from Cascade Locks
Does anyone know where the snow starts on the PCT going south from Cascade Locks?
A few weeks ago I hiked the Gorton Creek Trail and hit snow at about 4,000'. I'm wondering if the PCT is any worse/better.

Table Mountain - May 21, 2022
I pushed my early May hike of Table Mountain to this past weekend due to the late snow levels. Weather was perfect with mostly clear skies at a 7:00am start from the Bonneville Trailhead. Today I'd be completing a lollipop hike of Table Mountain. From the parking lot, I took the Tamanous Trail #27 w...

Re: Confused - What is Open or Allowed during Covid Quarantine?
I hiked part of the PCT this past weekend, 12 miles as well, and saw only two groups. One was a group of 4 guys, the other was a family of 4 who camped that night. We saw each other and easily passed by quickly when there was a safe distance between us. On the way home I passed by the start of the P...

Re: Confused - What is Open or Allowed during Covid Quarantine?
There are plenty of other places that are still open - for instance, all state forest lands. Washington just opened up DNR land last week as well. Like you said though, the Gorge trails are closed to all use no matter if it's DNR land. And those areas open outside the Gorge that are open are only f...

Re: Confused - What is Open or Allowed during Covid Quarantine?
Everything seems so backward. It's crazy that on Washougal River road this weekend cars were crammed next to each other to get access to the river. It was at least as crowded as what you would see on a busy weekend at Beacon Rock. At most of the stores I went to maybe 20% of customers had masks on, ...

Re: Washington State Parks opening - Yeah!
List of WA parks opening and not opening May 5 https://parks.state.wa.us/1181/Parks-opening Thanks for the update! Sad that Beacon Rock SP won't be open, but it makes sense. It gets very crowded, even Hamilton Mountain. Still wondering about Table Mountain. I'll probably call next week if I don't f...

Thanks for finding that info!
Not surprised about Dog and Beacon Rock not being open soon. I'm wondering if Table Mountain might open up this month.
