Are the mosquitoes in Jefferson Park really that bad?

A buddy and I took a hike to Hanks lake via Pamelia Lake a couple years ago, and I thought the mosquitoes were bad there. They were at least manageable with lots of Deet anyway. But all the reports I see online make Hanks Lake look like a backyard BBQ compared to the swarms reported in Jefferson Par...

I'm looking for a map to buy of the area shown here: FTJ3W6Sg.jpg I have not had any luck in my searches online. I'm specifically looking for Diamond Peak wilderness, but the whole area would be nice to have. Does anyone have any recommendations? I recently discovered Caltopo myself and it's awesom...
