Re: Climbing Mt St Helens early May

Microspikes sounds like a good idea. I have been talking to few people, they mentioned, we might be end up needing snowshoes. What's your take on that?

Thanks again

Climbing Mt St Helens early May

Hi,

We are planning to climb Mt St Helens summit early May this season.
Anyone has idea on snow conditions then ?

What kind of footwear should be used ? Hikings shoes ? Boots? crampons?

Thanks

Re: Trip recommendation for 4th July

I am not particularly stuck on these areas, those were just something I started thinking about.

How about southern Oregon, any good similar vistas out there?

Trip recommendation for 4th July

Hi all, I am trying to find a good itinerary for '3 days 2 nights' trip. Little bit Snow is okay(maybe towards higher elevation). Looking at 6-7 miles per day. Fall hikes in NW

Hello,

I know this is early, but I was wondering if people throw some light on where/when to see fall colors?

Best fall weekend hikes ?

I was searching up on google and found that Deschutes River Trail, Opal Creek are generally good. Any more to add in the list ?

Thanks,
Dhaval

Re: Choosing a backpack for photography

@rainrunner - Yes, carrying 6 oz mind shift would not hurt I guess. It is best for summit shot after you setup the tent I think. Might get one. Thanks :) @Steve20050 - I think this is something I would wanna do. Not sure about carrying a point on shoot in pocket for quick shots but definately get pa...

Re: Choosing a backpack for photography

Thanks guys for reply. I would want to take pictures while hiking, but not a lot. I would like to put my comfort ahead of my urge to take picture every now and then. I was searching online for options. Then I came across couple of photography backpacks from Lowepro and F-stop. But they are made for ...
